Fortnite Season 4 is here. As expected, Marvel heroes have taken over the map – including some new major locations. All of the Season 3 bosses are gone, and the only new boss appears to be Dr. Doom in Pleasant Park. He offers a couple of new abilities, but it remains to be seen how strong they are. As is the case with all of the new seasons, we’re going to have to play for a few days before we know whether Dr. Doom’s abilities are overpowered, underpowered, or just right.Ahead, we’ll take a look at all of the major map changes for Fortnite Season 4. We hope you enjoy them!New Spawn IslandThe first thing you’ll notice about Fortnite Season 3 is the new spawn island. We’re on a massive carrier, now. It doesn’t make a huge difference, but it’s pretty cool.
On top of the new spawn island, the Battle Bus got a change with the new season. We’ll let you experience that for yourself.Doom’s DomainDoom’s Domain is the only major, named POI to be released with the launch of Season 4. It’s still early, but this appears to be the only place that offers one of the new Boss abilities that looks to replace the mythic weapons in Season 4.
You can find Doom’s Domain in Pleasant Park. It doesn’t encompass the whole area, but it takes over a good chunk of it. There are Henchmen, Henchmen chests, and Dr. Doom, himself in this location. You can also find the vault in Doom’s Domain.Sentinal GraveyardThe largest unnamed POI is known as Sentinel Graveyard. You can find this near the center of the map, on the hill that overlooks Weeping Woods. Here, you’ll find a plethora of downed Sentinals that offer you a boost when you jump on their hands.
There isn’t a ton of loot in this location, so you may want to hold off on landing here for a couple of days. It’s one of the only places on the map that will be undiscovered when you load in, which means it’ll be a hotbed of activity.Crash SitesThere are several Crash Sites around the Fortnite map. This is where you can find the Drones and the new Stark Labs weapon. We don’t have the stats on this one, but it’s pretty slow-firing and doesn’t seem to be worth carrying over a normal AR.
Still, the drones in these areas can drop some powerful loot, so the crash sites are worth exploring. We count four of them scattered around the map, although this could change from game to game, we’re not sure, just yet. There were a few small changes to the map, as well. For instance, Sweaty Sands got a full skatepark, which wasn’t complete in Season 3. Apart from these changes, however, most of the map appears to be the same as it was. We expect this to change over the course of the season, however.Of course, there’s a chance that we missed something along the way – it’s still early and downtime just ended. Make sure to check back, as we’ll update this post with any major map changes that we missed.Read More
