Ubisoft’s “realistic physics-based” VR space adventure Agos is out next month

Written by on September 10, 2020

Coming to Steam, Uplay, and Oculus.

If you’re in the market for a bit of space face, Ubisoft has you covered; it’s just announced Agos: A Game of Space, a “realistic physics-based” VR adventure that’s out in October.

Agos: A Game of Space casts players as the AI operating the very last ship to leave a condemned Earth in the year 2057, tasking them with carrying its crew of survivors on a centuries-long journey to find a new home.

That journey will span eight unique star systems, and players are able to explore each one using their own specially built probes that are governed by realistic physics.

Along the way, there are resources to harvest, ships to trade with, abandoned space stations to investigate and more, with progress unlocking new tools and technologies that will hopefully enable players to keep their human passengers alive.

Agos: A Game of Space – could this be a heavily retooled version of Ubisoft’s presumed long-dead space exploration game Pioneer? – is preparing to launch on 28th October, and will be available on Steam, Uplay, and the Oculus Store.
