Kim Kardashian Paris Hilton: Best Fashion Moments

Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton. Names that, when paired together, incite images of a bygone era buried deep in the pre-Instagram pop culture annals, when we worshiped at the altar of Us Weekly and In Touch, obsessed over which starlet had the most prominent hip bones, and couldn’t satiate our hunger for the real story behind the famous sex-tape socialite and her new petite, curvy, raven-haired closet-organizer sidekick. Kim something, wasn’t it? Alas, we all know the trajectory of that story: The two drifted apart and during the next decade Kim Kardashian West would rise to become the most famous (thanks, well-timed sex tape?) and aesthetically influential (thanks, Kanye!) woman in the world, constantly shape-shifting her beauty and fashion choices to keep us interested, while Paris retreated from the spotlight social media brought and instead focused her energy on designing things she herself wore during the 2000s and accepting highly paid DJ gigs. Style-wise, Paris has mostly stuck to her signature: long blond hair, high heels, demure hand-on-hip red-carpet poses. One thing she did let go of, though, was her dedication to Juicy Couture tracksuits, the only thing that mattered to celebrities during the 2000s—and what brought the two together in 2020 for a very viral moment. Skims
In a clever wink to their shared past, Kardashian and Hilton appear together in new ads for Kim’s loungewear line Skims, which recently added velour pieces to its collection. The images show the former besties in all their aughties glory: getting fake-pap-snapped at a gas station while wearing tinted sunglasses and carrying those matching metallic, not-at-all obtrusive Louis Vuitton bags they infamously toted around the globe in their heyday, posing back-to-back, bedazzled flip phones in hand.Skims
The pieces—mostly all of which come in under $100—are updates to what we remember from the 2000s, but in a subtle nod to their dynamic, Kim’s version feels much more rooted in the now, thanks to the banded cuffs on the sweatpants, while Paris is still rocking the flared bottoms of yore. Smart! Skims
In honor of this reunion, let’s walk it back to the days when Kim and Paris really were two peas in a bubbled-hemmed pod and revisit some of their most iconic fashion moments as a pair. Read More
