This broken Fortnite strategy lets you and your team spam Doom’s Gauntlets an unlimited number of times.

By now, every Fortnite player knows that Season 4 brought us a Marvel theme along with a new set of Mythic hero abilities. These abilities look to be the central theme of the new season, with new abilities set to be added over the course of the coming weeks.
These items are a blast in core Fortnite modes. Rolling around in a Baller and throwing a ball of energy into a box is good, clean fun – the type of fun that we look for in Fortnite. As we’ve heavily covered, however, these items are not meant for competitive Fortnite modes.

Despite the developers seeming to only consider public modes while balancing these mythic abilities, they remain in competitive playlists. If there’s a way to abuse a particular mechanic about an item or weapon, competitive and pro players are going to find it – it’s the nature of any competitive game.
We’ve already talked about one of the OP strategies involving Silver Surfer’s board, but this one might be worse. Competitive players recently learned that the cooldown on these hero abilities are bound to a player. In trios, this means that players can spam Doctor Doom’s abilities, drop them, and let their teammates have at it.

Just look at what Clix, MackWood, and Calc did to their opponents in a game of pro scrimmages. You’ll even hear Calc say, “This is low-key so f***ed up, not even gonna lie.” He’s right. It is, but players are going to do it as long as it’s possible. It’s on Epic to disable these items or change their mechanics.

When you watch clips like these, it’s clear that Epic didn’t balance these abilities with competitive Fortnite in mind. If this is what’s possible with the first batch of abilities, what broken strategies will the next group bring?

Our answer to this problem is simple: remove mythic abilities from competitive modes. There’s no reason that competitive players should be running around with exclusive items that only one team in each lobby can have. Hopefully, Epic take a stance on these items before the FNCS begins.

This new Fortnite Season 4 bug is sending players to another dimension when they get too close to an opponent.

Published 1 min agoon September 3, 2020

Fortnite Season 4 introduced a handful of new mechanics to the game, which undoubtedly caused a few new bugs. It took players about a week to diagnose some of the major issues with the latest patch, which is a good thing when you think about it. The issues weren’t so glaring that players noticed them all on day one.
We’ve already covered an exploit that allows teams to use an unlimited number of hero abilities, but that seems more like an overlooked mechanic rather than a full-fledged bug. This one, on the other hand, is a pretty big problem.
Fortnite players are getting randomly sent deep into the storm while battling someone. The bug seems to randomly trigger, and it yeets players so deep that they have no chance of recovering. Here’s an example from u/Xientraa on Reddit.
This example is one of the more extreme ones that we’ve seen, but it isn’t the only clip. There are three or four more of these on the r/FortniteBR subreddit, and no one seems to know exactly what is happening.

The leading theory surrounding this glitch has to do with the Groot Baller. Players are saying that the knock-back effect on this item is sending players far away when initially activated.
Although we can’t know for sure, this theory makes sense as the glitch only seems to happen when two players are on top of one another. The opponent could have activated the Groot Baller to send these players flying, but we never see it happen.
This is a new bug and isn’t listed on the Fortnite Community Issues Trello board. With an update expected next week, we’ll likely be dealing with this until September 21 – judging by the typical Fortnite patch schedule.

There’s nothing we can do about this bug other than to raise awareness. Be careful “barrel stuffing” your opponents – especially if you know that they have the Groot Baller. Stay safe, gamers!

How to search SHIELD chests at Quinjets for your Fortnite Season 4 Week 2 challenges.

Published 20 mins agoon September 3, 2020

The Fortnite Season 4 Week 2 challenges are live, which means we can progress our Battle Pass levels and unlock the new style for Jennifer Walters and She-Hulk! If you haven’t completed the Jennifer Walters Awakening challenges, you can take a look at our full guide here.
The weekly challenges are relatively easy, this week, with only a few of them requiring a guide. We have to visit Steel Bridges, for instance, but longtime Chapter 2 players are no strangers to this challenge. We’ve done it at least three times this chapter. One challenge that may require a bit more of an explanation is “Search SHIELD chests inside Quinjets.”

A new mechanic that Epic added to Season 4 was the Quinjet landing sites. The ships land in four locations each match. Although they don’t seem to be completely randomized spawn locations – they stay the same for a day or two – the ships shuffle every now and then. You’ll be able to identify them by the white marker on your map.
The ships tend to spawn in each region on the map, but they don’t land right away. You should hang out on the bus or in the air while waiting to see where they end up. After that, all you need to do is float down and grab a SHIELD chest.

This task might sound a bit easier than it actually is. There are Stark Tech robots patrolling these areas, and they don’t care if you haven’t gotten a gun, yet. You can rush to these chests and get a weapon or pickaxe a bot – but be careful.
You need to grab seven of these chests to complete the challenge, which is why Epic recommend that you do this with a team.
Still – unless you visit each of the Quinjet locations in one match and none of them have been hit – this is going to take a few matches to finish. Hopefully, it will be a bit faster with this guide. Good luck!

Here’s where to find Wolverine’s Fortnite loading screen and how it will look in-game

Published 21 hours agoon September 2, 2020

Fortnite Season 4 Week 2 is here, bringing a batch of new challenges to help carry us through the Battle Pass. As has been the case with the past couple of Fortnite Seasons, we’ll be progressing the challenges for the Season 4 Secret skin at the same time. The not-so-secrets skin for Season 4 is, of course, Wolverine.
This week, we’ll need to find an image of the Wolverine loading screen in-game. These can be found at the Quinjet landing sites, as you’ll see in the challenge description.
To find the loading screen, all you need to do is wait for the Quinjet ships to appear on your map, land at one of them, eliminate the bots, and walk into the ship. You’ll be able to complete this challenge while also looking for SHIELD chests for your weekly, as well.
The reward for this challenge is, predictably, the Wolverine “Adamantium Slash” loading screen. This is just a taste of what we’ll be getting when Wolverine finally comes into the game.

We’re only speculating, here, but we have a hunch that Wolverine had something to do with the mass grave of Sentinels that we see on one of the mountains. Hopefully, we’ll find out more about what happened when Epic release the teaser for his skin.
Once you finish this challenge, you’re all set until next week. If you’re still searching for Wolverine’s mysterious claw marks, you can take a look at our guide here.
We’re still a few weeks away from Wolverine coming out, so procrastinators don’t have to worry about the challenge for now. As we said, however, there’s a weekly challenge that involved visiting the Quinjet locations, so you can kill two birds with one… Adamantium claw. Good luck!
