5 Cozy Holiday Outfits to Wear Now, According to a Vogue Editor

As we continue to navigate these ever-changing times, in season two of What I Wore This Week, one Vogue editor shares their outfits—both on Zoom and IRL—from the previous week.My approach to getting dressed used to be all about saving my favorite outfits for a special moment, but if 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that “the moment” is actually right now. I believe every day is special in its own way, which is why I’ve been having fun regularly putting together cozy holiday outfits this season, even if it’s just for a trip to the bodega. This week, I spent time exploring my new neighborhood and enjoying the last little bit of sunshine on my rooftop, before topping off the week with a bottle of bubbly and great food. It’s Thanksgiving week, after all. Here’s how I put together five cozy, chic holiday outfits.SundayWhen it comes to long dresses, I am a borderline hoarder. This one has everything I could ever wish for in a warm winter midi, from the soft alpaca fabric knitted by Peruvian artisans to the fitted silhouette that flares out just above the hem. I love taking something that feels sophisticated and giving it an unexpected twist, so I layer a matching halter bralette by Mozh Mozh over the dress and finish off the look with my go-to Dr. Martens boots for some peaceful Sunday reading on my rooftop.Highland Dunes Shela wicker outdoor ottomanPromised Land by Barack ObamaEsschert design ff90 fire bowlMondayI’ve been working from home since March, but I like to switch up the scenery as much as possible. Today I took my laptop and notebook out to a nearby park. I practically live in these Daily Ritual leggings, which, by the way, I own multiple pairs of. I’m a firm believer that you can get away with wearing leggings anywhere with the right top. Today, I decide to throw on a long-sleeve ribbed blouse by Bevza—the square neckline and fun side slits are “chef’s kiss” good to me.Bevza sweetheart neckline ribbed topDaily Ritual Stirrup LeggingSaks Fifth Avenue 14K gold triple hoop earringsASOS Design steele slingback block heelsKate Spade New York pen and pencil setSmythson wreath Christmas cardsTuesdayI have a million things on my to-do list today for work, so I make sure I get a few drops of caffeine in my system before getting started. I throw on this vintage dickey I bought from a thrift store a few years ago. If you’re into the sleeveless sweater trend, I highly recommend going thrifting because there are so many cool ones, like this $4 one I found. I finish off the look with a pair of flare trousers, my prized Bulgari necklace, Mercedes Castillo sandals, and grab my Aspinal of London bag before jetting out of the door.Joseph Tambi wool twill flared pantsAspinal of London Mayfair bag$850$680ASPINAL OF LONDONCire Trudon decorative candle bust LouiseWednesdayTo make my apartment feel a bit more festive, I decide to pick up a festive wreath from the local flower shop. It’s also Thanksgiving Eve, so I feel like stepping my outfit game up a notch with a corduroy mini skirt and matching cropped “shacket” by Danielle Guizio. My personal rule for getting away with micro-mini skirts during the day is to always pair them with a flat shoe. My extra chunky Zara boots give the entire outfit a tough spin that balances everything out, and the sheer tights help too.Danielle Guizio corduroy cropped shirt& Other Stories croc-embossed leather card holderMissoma Baya hoop earringsAugust grove preserved autmn wreathThursdayOn Thanksgiving Day, I, of course, get dressed up just to go to the living room. Who doesn’t? I’ve had this off-the-shoulder ribbed knit dress for years, and it felt just right with my new Tamara Mellon boots. I rarely put on lipstick these days because of masks, but since I’m not going anywhere, I swipe on a few layers of a vampy Pat McGrath shade just for fun and pop open a bottle of champagne. I know we all could use a glass (or two, or three) right now.AFRM Eloise off-the-shoulder long-sleeve sweater dressTamara Mellon Legacy knee-high bootRichard Brendon small fluted coupe glassUrbanstems the Aspen flowersPat McGRATH Labs MatteTrance lipstickMcBride Sisters Black Girl Magic sparkling brutRead More
