Wale Visits Baltimore High School

Wale decides to make a surprise visit to Fredrick Douglas High School in Baltimore a day after the Baltimore riot. Wale decides to visit when the kids went back to school on the first day. He also visited along with Rev. Jamal Bryant, who also euglogized Freddie Grey at his funeral. While at the school, Wale talks to the students at the school to keep them uplifted. He explains to the students that they are young leaders of tomorrow and that they have to look in the mirror to see something better than they’re being perceived on TV. He also told the students not to buy into the media’s portrayal of black protesters as “thugs”. “I hurt like y’all hurt…I understand exactly where y’all are coming from,” says the Washington D.C. rapper.
