Opio Of Souls Of Mischief Talks About Net Neutrality

Opio of legendary Oakland hip-hop group Souls of Mischief, just recently talked about his opinion on the FCC’s recent decision in the support of net neutrality. The FCC’s plan is to reclassify Internet access as a Title II service. Comcast and Verizon are involved as far as for reigning in predatory practices. This decision wil be handled in federal court. Opio speaks his opinion on the decision.

“I feel very fortunate to be in an era where the Internet is kind of still open. I’ve learned so much and had such an opportunity to educate myself by using the Internet. It’s times when you would have had to travel halfway around the world to go to a certain library to look at a book. Now you can actually access the information straight from your home. It’s kind of an incredible thing. I would hate to see that type of shit just disappear.”

Opio’s new EP The Subconscious Mind is out now. All track on EP is produced by Free the Robots.
