Slick Rick’s fourth album “The Art Of Storytelling” came out on May 25th, 1999. This was the final studio album by the British-America rapper. It was released on Def Jam Recordings. Some notable producers on the project were DJ Clark Kent and Kid Capri. This album proved to be his highest-charting album by peaking at number eight on the Billboard 200. And it also went number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and ended up getting certified gold by the RIAA within a month of release.

He set many of the standards in place today, not only in the music, but also the culture. This album displays the highest level of his skill, and ability to show off lyrics. He has amazing story telling abilities on the records here, and keeps the listener focused on what will be said next.
