La-based rapper Kid Ink talks about what motivates him into becoming the artist who he is today. With his last album Full Speed, which was released January 2015, he talks about what keeps him going musically.
“I get most motivated when people drop albums and people do good things. When I see when people do things and it gets a good review or response and I go, ‘I can do that too,’ and I can see how I can flip it better.”
He also said that when there is nothing happening in the music scene and there’s dead silence, he said he is a “little bit more-not lazier on the music but more doing radio records and doing pop-er songs.” When people release more competitive songs, he says he is a little bit more getting with his bars and doing it bigger on that side of things.
