Justin Verlander Throws Complete-Game Shutout vs. Angels, Cuts ERA to 1.05

Justin Verlander is on another level this season.

That much was clear Wednesday night when the Houston Astros ace twirled a complete-game five-hit gem in a 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Verlander, who’s now 5-2 on the season, lowered his ERA to 1.05 following the dominant start. According to the Los Angeles TimesBill Shaikin, that would be the lowest ERA in the past 100 years if it holds up through the end of the season.
