80,000 Wants Raven Symon Gone .

More than 80,000 people signed the online petition at change.org to remove Raven Symone from daytime television show “The View” for her recent comment she made towards the Spring Valley assault this past week.

The petition states “African-Americans and Black people around the diaspora need a voice representative of their views and not a voice representative of what white people want us to say. We need strong Black role models in a prominent position on T.V. And Raven-Symone cannot provide that.”

This is not the first time Ms.Symone came under fire for things she said, the most recent thing that came out her mouth was the “ghetto names” splat she had said “I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea”. Some people took this to be in bad taste, one of those people was her ex co-star from the Cosby show Keshia Knight Pulliam quoted saying “ I guess she wouldn’t hire me. I’ve got about the most ethnic name you can have!”

Raven isn’t the only person who is feeling the fire of the change.org petition just earlier this week one was posted up for the removal of CNN new anchorman Don Lemon. Mr.Lemon have more than 30,000 people calling for his removal after he insisted that his colleagues Wolf Blitzer and legal analyst Sunny Hostin withhold deciding whether South Carolina “resource officer” Ben Fields used excessive force when removing a student from a classroom earlier this week.455839508-don-lemon-host-cnn-attends-the-2014-adcolor-awards.jpg.CROP.rtstoryvar-large

Honestly, I think Ms. Symone and Mr. Lemon are just attention hogs, their strategies to be trending and most viewed is working. How are they doing this? By using three simple strategies, 1. There position on major networks, 2. Climate of the times, which is racism in America, and 3. Being the climate of the time is racism in America, them being Black Americans and having opinions that the opposition would have or say is a recipe for “LOOK AT ME!”

These change.org in my opinion isn’t going to change a thing, as long as what they are saying are getting people buzzing and viewers watching the network isn’t going to change a thing. Tune in to the “NEW NEW SHOW” on NewJacks.net this Thursday at 9pm EST to hear more on this topic.
